For the flower arranger, there was a myriad of displays in the large floral art marquee at Harrogate Flower show, which has become the largest display of it’s kind in Britain.
Celebrating 60 fantastic years, the event started at a local hotel judged by the renowned florist, Constance Spry and was incorporated into the Harrogate flower show in 1958.
Floral arrangements this year featured tributes to the Beatles’ first album “Please Please Me” and the NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arranging Societies “Britain’s Beautiful Islands, capturing the charms of our Northern Scottish Isles to the southern isles of Scilly.
The Leicester chapter if Ikebana chose “Winds of Change” as the title for their exhibit, incorporating traditional Japanese basketwork with modern western materials.
